A good product can bring a lot of convenience to our work. If a bad product, not only spend our money, but more importantly, it may bring us a lot of inconvenience, or even greater financial losses. Therefore, when choosing a product, we should know how to judge its quality. So from what aspects should we judge the quality of electronic ruler/displacement sensor?
1. Determine the type according to the measurement object and environment
First, carefully analyze the measurement work and consider which principle of electronic ruler to use for measurement, because even if the same physical quantity is measured, it can be achieved through different principles. Secondly, we have to consider the range, volume (whether there is enough space), installation method, signal type (analog or digital signal), measurement method (direct measurement or indirect measurement), etc.
2. Accuracy
The accuracy level of the electronic ruler is related to the accuracy of the entire system and is a very important parameter. Generally, the higher the accuracy, the more expensive it is. So when we choose, we have to consider the overall situation. The one that suits us is the best. Don't blindly pursue the so-called high accuracy. Unless we need to quantitatively measure the precise value, we will choose an electronic ruler with a higher accuracy level.
3. Choice of sensitivity
Sensitivity refers to the ratio of the increment of the output to the corresponding increment of the input. We have to correctly understand this parameter, which is divided into two aspects: 1. Within the linear range, the sensitivity is high and the output signal value is relatively large, which is an advantage. 2. With high sensitivity, external noise that is not related to the measurement is also easy to mix in, affecting the accuracy during the processing.
4. Linear range
The linear range refers to the range in which the output is proportional to the input, so we all hope that the linear range is as wide as possible. The wider the linear range, the larger the range and the higher the accuracy. However, the linear range of any displacement sensor is relative. We only need to estimate the measurement so that it is within the linear range.
5. Frequency response characteristics
During the measurement process, the output of the displacement sensor always has a certain delay, and there is a certain difference from the actual value. So we hope that the frequency response is faster, so that the delay time is shorter. However, due to the influence of structural characteristics, the frequency is also difficult to increase.
6. Stability
Stability refers to the ability to maintain its performance after a long period of use. In addition to its own reasons, the factors that affect stability are mainly environmental factors. Therefore, the selected electronic ruler/displacement sensor must have a strong ability to adapt to the environment, and protective measures must be taken when appropriate.
Buyers in need should try to choose regular manufacturers and distributors when purchasing electronic rulers. The quality is guaranteed and the cost performance is high. I hope everyone can buy high-quality electronic rulers!
